Groups & Tours
Explore the History Center
Bring your group to the History Center. Perfect for field trips, adult and senior groups or corporate outings, spend your day exploring Florida’s past. Guided and custom tours are available, too.
Groups & Tour Options
The History Center welcomes field trip visits from public and private schools, day camps and home school groups from throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
Field trips are ideal for 4th grade students and above, but we can accommodate any age group.
Perfect for a day trip, adult visitors can explore three floors of exhibits, and have the option to dine in the Columbia Cafe, shop in the Museum Store, or explore the Tampa Riverwalk.
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can fulfill “Go See It” and “Try It” activities by exploring the History Center’s hands-on galleries. Dress up and experience the life of a Florida pioneer in our rustic Cracker cabin, ride along with a Florida cattle drive, or learn how to use the stars to navigate the high seas in our Treasure Seekers gallery.
For no additional charge, a knowledgeable docent can help your scouts learn about Florida’s early native people, the events that caused Seminole Indian culture to adapt over time, and the industry that put Tampa on the map.
Scout Groups (min. 10 /max. 30): $7/scout
Chaperones (one per five students): Free
Additional Chaperone: $10/adult
*Badges are not provided by the History Center. Please contact your troop leader regarding the purchase of badges and other scout materials.
