The History Center welcomes field trip visits from public and private schools, day camps, and home school groups throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

Field trips are ideal for 4th grade students and above, but we can accommodate any age group.

LEARN MORE ABOUT FIELD TRIPS

Perfect for a day trip,  visitors can explore three floors of exhibits and have the option to dine in the Columbia Cafe, shop in the Museum Store or explore the Tampa Riverwalk.

Scouts can explore the History Center’s galleries and learn about the life of a Florida pioneer in our rustic Cracker cabin, watch a Florida cattle drive, or learn how to use the stars to navigate the high seas in our Treasure Seekers gallery. For no additional charge, a knowledgeable docent can help your scouts learn about Florida’s early native people, the events that influenced Seminole culture, and the industries that put Tampa on the map.
